Nowadays, it’s very common to see someone wearing a hat either outdoors or indoors. Anyone can wear a hat practically anywhere and anytime they want. However, in the past, there were strict rules when it comes to hat wearing. For one, men should remove their hats when in the presence of a lady.

Although some of them seem obsolete, there are still practical etiquettes that we practice until today. Generally, people can wear hats whenever they like. Men can leave their hats on while outdoors, in public spaces, or on public transportations but they have to remove them when entering a building or eating meals in a restaurant. Women are free to do so whenever they like but still have to remove baseball caps indoors or when their hats obstruct others’ views.
