The new service 5G is said to be the next big thing in terms of speed for our mobile devices. This fifth generation version of mobile communication is focused on high data rate, reduced latency, energy saving, and cost reduction. Its biggest advantages are speed, low communication latency, and new use cases which are all laid out by the numbers in this infographic. Currently, the only company to offer a true 5G service is AT&T. The initial release of 5G to the general public will be in 2019 as a hotspot service.
